"Every day I come to work and I am thankful for what I do, and the fact that I love it so much," gushes Jeremy Rice, visual designer at The Corman Marketplace. With his easy laugh and big, big smile continues, "The only thing that makes it even better is the fact that I am surrounded by unbelievably talented and caring people who inspire me daily."

It was some very unexpected twists and turns that brought Jeremy here after he earned a B. S. in Apparel Design and Merchandising in 2004. With this focus on apparel and visual merchandising, the thought of holiday or even design had never occurred to him. But, thinking back now, Jeremy recognizes that he may have been destined to make holiday decorating a part of his life.

Jeremy's first ever, at the age of 15, design was aiding a friend to decorate their yard with over-the-top Christmas. They transformed an entire yard into Hooville with custom designed and produced 3-D homes, characters (including the Grinch, of course), and trees that were fabricated out of plywood.

"I liked the ooo's and ahh's from people who actually stopped by to visit the yard up close and personal, " recalls Jeremy. It's responding to those continued "ooo's and ahh's" that still keeps him energized today. Jeremy's favorite aspect of his job is creating designs that are lush and excessive; after all, they don't call him "Glitteracci" without reason. When first approaching him about decor of any type, you are likely to hear his design mantra: "Texture, texture, and texture!" If you like lush, dramatic, and memorable with a 10+ wow-factor, then Jeremy is definitely your man.

His simple goals: to succeed and be happy in life. However, he will be quick to let you know not to be surprised that one day he will do Oprah's home. And, lest you think that's a stretch, his work can currently be admired in marts and showrooms from New York, to Atlanta, to Chicago, to Dallas, to Los Angeles. His one-of-a-kind designs, his 'excessive' personality, and ready sense of humor all contribute to the signature style of The Corman Marketplace.
